Long-Term Financial Assistance

The Long-Term Financial Assistance Program assists eligible senior adults who do not have adequate income and assets available to pay the entire cost of their care needs and living expenses. Individuals may receive assistance whether they reside in their homes, apartments, independent living facilities, or assisted living facilities.

In addition to individual assistance, our team can help explain the types of long-term assistance care available.

The Masonic Home provided $1,135,107  in Long-Term Financial Assistance during FY 2026.

Assistance Examples

Examples of monthly Long-Term Financial Assistance in a facility:

  • Monthly assistance with the base cost of assisted and independent living
  • Monthly assistance with quality of life items, such as beauty shop, telephone, healthcare items, etc.

Examples of monthly Long-Term Financial Assistance in the community:

  • Rent or mortgage payments
  • Household expenses, such as utilities, pharmacy bill, groceries, etc.

Qualifications:

Individuals who qualify for long-term financial assistance are senior Missouri Masons, their wives or widows, and Eastern Star ladies in good standing.

Applicants must complete an application to demonstrate a financial need.

Applicant Age When Raised as a Master Mason Continuous Good Standing Requirements Prior to Application
Prior to the Age of 40 5 Years
40 – 49 Years of Age 10 Years
50 – 59 Years of Age 15 Years
60+ Years of Age 20 Years
