Why Event Fundraising Works
Fundraising is more than a financial tool; it is a vital bridge between mission and impact. At the Masonic Home of Missouri, event fundraising plays a key role in sustaining programs, deepening relationships, and engaging our supporters in meaningful ways.
Whether it is a formal gathering, a golf tournament, or an online campaign, each fundraising effort offers a chance to connect with our community, share our mission, and invite new support for the work we do.
These events don’t just raise funds, they raise awareness, inspire generosity, and create lasting impressions. When supporters attend or participate, they see firsthand how their involvement makes a difference.
It is a clear reminder of the Power of the Collective – the strength that emerges when individuals, Lodges, Chapters, and organizations unite in support of a shared mission.
Supporting the Mission Year-Round
Every fundraising event, in-person or online, helps us meet the needs of our Masonic Family and our communities. In Fiscal Year 2025, the Masonic Home of Missouri provided over $2.6 million in direct financial assistance, with 100% of every dollar donated going directly to clients.
Funds raised through events go directly toward our programs. Your support ensures that these essential programs remain available to those who need them most, when they need them.

Events That Make an Impact
The Truman Club Dinner: Celebrating Sustained Giving
The Truman Club, our annual giving society, recognizes individuals with a passion for helping those who need it the most. Each year, the Masonic Home of Missouri hosts The Truman Club Dinner, an exclusive event to honor our members for the work they make possible and to raise additional funds for our Outreach Programs.
This event also includes a touch of fun, featuring the Wine & Dine, our signature wine pull game where everyone is a winner, and a silent auction.
The Giving Tree is a powerful visual and meaningful opportunity at the Truman Club Dinner to make a monetary donation in memory or in honor of a loved one. Displayed year-round at the Masonic Complex, the tree serves as a reminder of our shared commitment to supporting the Masonic Home of Missouri’s mission.
“The Masonic Home is making a real difference. Darla and I are passionate about supporting youth and were deeply moved at the Truman Club Dinner. Now is the time to come together and share this mission with others.” – Jeffrey and Darla Kitsmiller

Regional Truman Club Events: Bringing Community Closer
In addition to our annual Truman Club dinner, there are opportunities to attend Regional Truman Club Events throughout the year. These smaller, more localized gatherings make it easy for donors and supporters to connect with our mission close to home.
These regional events provide a personal, informal setting where attendees can hear updates from the Masonic Home of Missouri staff, learn about the impact of their giving, and enjoy fellowship with others committed to making a difference.

Charity Golf Tournament: Golfing for a Cause
The Annual Charity Golf Tournament is a favorite among Masons and non-Masons alike. It is a day filled with fun, connection, and community support. In addition to a round of golf, teams enjoy themed games and a silent auction.
Funds raised at the tournament go toward the Creating-A-Partnership Program and the Partnering To Honor Program, which provide matching funds for Lodges and Chapters to support children and veterans in their communities.

Online Campaigns: Expanding Access and Engagement
Not all fundraising events happen in person. Throughout the year, we run online campaigns that make it easy for supporters to give from wherever they are. These virtual efforts help us:
- Reach wider audiences
- Share client stories and impact updates
- Make giving more accessible to all
Our digital events–the Truman Online Campaign in May and Masonic Home Day in December–are special days of giving that bring our online community together.
Whether online or in person, every contribution helps advance our mission and reflects the Power of the Collective in action.
Why Events Matter
Fundraising events, both in-person and online, are vital to our ability to support Missouri Masons, their families, and communities in need. They allow us to raise awareness and build relationships that sustain our mission year after year.
At their core, these events are about raising funds, but they also create meaningful experiences, shared stories, and lasting change through collective action and heartfelt support.
Building a Future Together
At the Masonic Home of Missouri, every event is a chance to connect, celebrate, and create meaningful change. When you attend, donate, sponsor, or simply share our mission, you help ensure that vital programs remain available to our Masonic Family and their communities statewide.
